Sweet treats at Crosstown Doughnuts.
Situated between Brick Lanes famous Beigel shops, Crosstown Doughnuts is a haven for gourmet doughnuts. Hand made fresh daily at their bakery in London, Crosstown use a hybrid sourdough which gives the dough a stronger crumb and bread-like texture. Filled with homemade jams, compotes, fillings, glazes & toppings in-house they pride themselves on using the best ingredients around.
Be sure to try the Sea Salt Caramel Banana – a winning combination of sweet, silky, fresh banana custard filling encased in Crosstown’s light and fluffy chocolate sourdough. Topped off with a generous swirl of sea salt caramel and a chocolate soil, it’s a taste sensation!
Another particular favourite is the Crème Brulee – this little bundle of ambrosial joy is the ultimate in doughnut indulgence. Inside you’ll find a rich, vanilla custard all wrapped up in Crosstown sourdough. This oh so fine specimen of doughnut is finished with a decadent crisp, caramelised caster sugar, courtesy of their chef’s trusty blowtorch.

A necessary mention for things to do in the area, Ruffians is an award-winning barber shop, men’s toiletries store and lifestyle destination. With a focus on high quality haircuts, beard trims and cut throat shaves, we are dedicated to creating an enjoyable and relaxing customer experience. Our teams of barbers and front of house staff are handpicked and carefully trained to guarantee you the best possible service.
Founded in Edinburgh’s West End in 2012, borne of a frustration with the lack of barbers providing great customer service. Within six months, it became a resounding success and won Best Independent Newcomer at the British Hairdressing Business Awards, and Best New Salon and Best Designed Salon in the UK at the prestigious Creative Head industry awards.
In December 2013, Ruffians brought its strong Scottish heritage down to London and launched in Covent Garden followed by our Marylebone shop that opened in January 2016 with Shoreditch soon after and another in department store, Liberty too.
We want everyone who comes through our doors to feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed, so that getting a haircut seems like less of a chore. From our unique design features to our complimentary extras, we are always intent on making our customer service the best it can possibly be.

Street Art *East* London
Shoreditch, Hoxton, Bethnal Green, Aldgate and its surrounding areas are a hot pocket of treats if you’re in to the concrete canvas; look left, look right, look all around because East London has the richest concentration of street art in the capital.
Arguably the greatest city on the planet for its sheer volume and variety of graffiti, some of the best urban artists are transforming London’s ordinary walls, doors and any other available surfaces in to awesome.
From the boroughs of Hackney to Tower Hamlets, and even as far afield as Newham, East London is the hub of this contemporary, statement art movement. Whether you’re a street art enthusiast already or excited to explore more, the area has plenty of tours available to ensure you can distinguish your C215 from your Paul Don Smith, identify the difference between an Otto Schade and Zabou and pick out a Shok-1, Mobstr, fanakapan or Roa at first glance.
So go fourth and scout the newest stencil, posters, and more traditional pieces adorning the area’s walls daily.
